Khaddy Sidibeh is 38. It is material distress that led her to come to Switzerland, leaving her three children in Gambia.
For a year, she lived as asylum seeker in Ramsen, in the canton of Schaffhausen, until an advisor drew her attention to the fact that she could obtain support in case of a return to the country of origin. She then submitted a project for a sewing workshop. It was considered feasible and she was allocated a starting capital of CHF 5’000. Kaddy Sidibeh has especially invested it in the purchase of sewing machines. Since then, the dressmaker was able to present her own collection. Her workshop already counts ten employees.
